Oh, it is more of one of my favorite gals, Sandy Warner. I love the ultra matte makeup on this 1960 album cover. The lip is lush without being that matte, classic red. To get this look, I am recommending Revlon colors because I am in love with the new matte collection. Plus, it is Recession friendly 🙂

First, apply foundation and concealer where needed. Try something like Colorstay Active Light Makeup with the Colorstay Concealer. Apply powder if needed. Apply Mineral Bronzer in your shade. You do want a tiny bit of glimmer for a “sunkissed” glow. Apply it with a large, fluffy brush. Apply another coat of the bronzer to cheekbones. This is your blush. It is all about the bronze with this look. Now to the eyes. Apply Brow Fantasy in your shade. Brows are thick and filled. Apply the Matte Eyeshadow in Vintage Lace all over the lid with a fluffy brush. Lightly brush Revlon Matte Eyeshadow in Rich Sable into the crease. Line eyes with liquid liner. Apply Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black and wing it out for a “cateye” effect. The line is a bit thick. Take a pencil liner and line bottom lashes halfway. I like the Matte Luxirious Color Kohl Eyeliner in Black Truffle. Apply tons of mascara or faux lashes to top lashline. Use a light, maybe one coat of mascara to bottom lashes. Line lips with Colorstay Lipliner in Mauve. Apply Matte Lipstick in Mauve It Over for lighter complexions or Fabulous Fig for darker complexions. Blot and you’re ready and quite enchanting I may add.

I bought this because my husband wanted me to. The Demeter website states that To understand Demeter’s Vinyl think of the smell of those car seats from 1970’s, or a sort of PVC jacket from the same era. Not everyone’s cup of tea, so to speak. But then, it doesn’t have to be, does it. He wanted to relive memories of as a kid ridding in the back of a gigantic Buick with those hot, cracked vinyl seats. When I received this product it had all of these white floaties. This is normal. The website says that this happens. When I shake the product it gets milky cloudy. This doesn’t bother me. This fragrance gets ridiculous low reviews on sites like makeupalley. Of course like many strange scents, this isn’t for everyone. My husband didn’t even like it. This is not “perfume”. Demeter Vinyl was a surprise and a disappointment for me. It is not a weathered vinyl that you would find on an old car seat or boat upholstery. It isn’t a Michael Jackson jacket. This scent is strangely pretty. So much so that I thought my smeller was broken. This fragrance is almost “powdery” and like ylang-ylang. It smells “white”. At times it reminds me of orris root when I wear it on my skin. When worn it smells feminine and old-fashioned. For a few seconds it reminds me of that strange synthetic smell of lets see, an inflatable sun raft. But, then that vanishes and leaves this strange synthetic pretty note. It’s like a powder that was stored in a plastic bottle.

I find this so strange. I question myself all the time with this fragrance. Maybe it is just my body chemistry or something. But, it is so strange. I’d love to hear others comment on this. It’s like this fragrance would be totally wearable if mixed with a floral note or something. It’s crazy insane. Or maybe I am.
