Sometimes I just get in a rosy mood. I just want rose scented everything. Luckily, there are many options out there. These are just a few of my favorites. If I had to narrow it down to my top 5…I would have to choose the items I keep repurchasing: Smith’s Rosebud Salve, Benefit Benetint, Fresh Rose Face Mask, Dr. Hunter’s Hand Creme, and Thayer’s Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner. I love so many rose fragrances but I don’t run out of them too often since I can be embalmed in my current fragrance collection.

I don’t associate rose scent as grandmotherly. My grandmothers wear Estee Lauder Youth Dew and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. Not very rosy items. I just love rose. I love to smell them when they first bloom. They really represent nice, mild weather to me. Which is nice because the roses outside of the window completely opened up this morning. Time to open up that window.

I love Rachel Perry products because the whole gimmick is about fragrance: Color N’ Scents (Synergy). I’m a sucker for overly fragrant things. This product is so space cadety that it guarantees a giggle. You see the color selection of the packaging is meant to synergize with the fragrance of the product. This is supposed “harmonize together and communicate a revitalizing and purifying balancing message to the mind, body and all of the senses.” Um, OK. It also contains Nutraceuticals, even though my box claimed to have Nutaceuticals which cracked me up for  many reasons. Anyways, the packaging is peach and the scrub smells very peachy and fresh. I really like the fragrance, it isn’t as papaya as it is fuzzy peach or apricot. I wouldn’t call this scrub gentle. Gentle does not apply. This stuff is rough has heck, pretty dry and in a thick toothpastey base, and filled with special nutaceuticals  a.k.a. walnut shells that grind the daylights out of your skin. However, I love it. I can not use this very frequently and my skin must be very, very damp and no pressure applied to the granules. It leaves my skin really smooth and it smells wonderful. I have normal to dry skin that is pretty normal except for dry patches every now and then. This takes care of that. Plus, I really enjoyed “the balancing message”. It retails for $15.99 and is available at or the new age establishment of your choice. Does Rachel Perry make a face scrub enhanced by magic crystal scrubbies?
