This look is easy and so great for summer. Everything I’m “using” is from the Origins line. It’s no-fuss and I love that.

FACE: Even out complexion with Origins Nude and Improved Makeup. It’s oil-free, long-wearing, and has SPF 15. This makes it a hit for summer. It’s a sheer formula, so your freckles will peek through! If you are oily/shiny, apply All or Nothing Sheer Pressed Powder. It’s portable and you can carry it around for touch-ups. Apply a small amount of Pinch Your Cheeks Gel Blush in Raspberry. This gives a healthy, natural looking glow. I can not live without gel blush or cheek stains in the summer.

EYES: If you have unmanageable brows, brush a little bit of Just Browsing Brow Shaper in your shade onto brows. Apply a light beige shadow such as Eyeshadow in Cream Tulle from lash line to brows. Apply a medium brown shadow such as Nutcracker from lash line to crease. I would take a liner brush and use this brown as a liner as well. Apply closely to top and bottom lash line to help make lashes appear fuller. Curl lashes and apply a coat or two of Fringe Benefits Mascara. Personally, I would reach for a brown or brown/black for this natural, warm look, but use whatever you have.

LIPS: The lips are nude. I would protect them with a swipe of Cover Your Mouth Lip Protector with SPF 8.

That’s it. You’re done. This is a free spirited look that is timeless. It works for everybody.

And who doesn’t? I adore the look but look God awful with it. I mean I make the worst blonde ever. Not my style anyways. However, I would love to emulate Jayne’s lovely makeup look. First start with a dewy foundation and concealer if needed such as Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation and Stila Illuminating Concealer. Dust skin with a lightweight loose powder such as Stila Hydrating Foundation Powder. Geez, I love a glowing complexion. Brush brows into place with a tinted brow gel such as Stila Brow Polish in your shade. You can go way deeper than your “natural” hair color just like Jayne did. Eyes are nude but still really sexy. Dust the entire lid with a nude colored shadow such as Stila Eyeshadow Pan in Bouquet. Blend a little bit darker shade into the crease such as Stila Eyeshadow Pan in Dune which is a nude beige. Line eyes with black liquid liner, creating a “cateye” look. Use a black liquid liner such as Stila Liquid Eyeliner in Black. Apply false lashes for the most dramatic look or coat lashes with tons of black mascara. Now to the cheeks. Lightly dust a healthy pink onto the apples. Use a color like Stila Cheek Color Pan in Rose. I’m never too shimmery. Take a large eyeshadow brush and give a swipe of Stila All Over Shimmer Powder over the cheekbones, brow bones and down the nose. Talk about looking amazing in photos, this stuff will do the trick. Next to the luscious lips, I love this purpley shade. I had a color just like this made by Sephora which is sadly discontinued. You can still get this color. Line lips with Stila Lip Pencil in Contour 9. Apply Stila Lipstick in Sonya which is a vivid berry cream. Add some lip gloss for luscious shine, like Stila Lip Glaze in Pomegranate which is a shimmery purple. Take a brow or eye liner pencil to fake a beauty mark if you must, try something like Stila Kajal Eye Liner in Tiger’s Eye. Finish with a lush fragrance like Stella by Stella McCartney. It’s vintagey but updated like this look.

I am always searching for that HG mascara. I feel like I’ve tried so much. The thing is I don’t know what I really want. I think I want the dramatic look of false lashes, but the truth is if I want that then I should wear false eyelashes. Thy’re cheaper than trying tons of mascaras. Lately, I have been using Estee Lauder More Than Mascara in More Black. It is a pretty nice formula for everyday. It looks natural, nothing like my false lashes. But, I don’t need a false lash look everyday. This is a super natural looking mascara, imagine your lashes but with a little more wow. This doesn’t clump or flake. It darkens the lashes and makes them appear glossy. It is easy to remove at night. It is a wet formula and is buildable. It’s claim to fame is that it doesn’t make lashes feel dry or brittle. I will agree with this. This was the first thing I noticed. If you’ve tried Clinique’s Naturally Glossy Mascara and liked it then you will like this. This is very similiar but more “grown-up”. It added a bit more thickness to my lashes than Naturally Glossy. The brush seperates lashes and has a point. It is easy to coat every lash with this brush. It gets into every corner. The color is a basic black. If I repurchase then I would like to try a black/brown. I like the warmness provided by brown-ish mascaras. Especially now that my hair is auburn. Since this is an everyday mascara I would like to have it in black/brown. I have nothing bad to say about this mascara. I do wish it was cheaper. I hate paying this much for something I will throw out in 3 months. (It retails for $21, at least Estee offers a gift time.) It isn’t the most glamorous item on the market but it does its job.

I love dark lips which led me to my good friend MAC Viva Glam III Lipstick. This shade is a matte and mute brownish plum. It is chock full of pigment and offers full coverage with a lovely matte finish. I admit that sometimes it is tricky. If you must wear lip balm under this color make sure it is applied evenly or this lipstick will apply very splotchy and make you look kind of like a pit bull. This color was launched in 2000 and I still love it. It comes in the Viva Glam red and black bullet case and has a soft vanilla fragrance. It is my go to for fall or when I dye my hair a burgundy shade. I’m not the only one craving dark lips for fall. All the makeup companies are pushing it such as Sephora, MAC, Smashbox, etc. and it is in all the beauty magazines.

I’ve taken a picture of my lipstick. The flash washed it out a bit but not too much. Just imagine the shade without the sheen of the flash and that is it.

I’ve also taken a picture of myself wearing this lipstick which came out looking like a goth girl MySpace photo. I now know why everyone’s social networking pictures are so lame and serious looking. I thought they were trying to look sexy like they were in an Euro Vogue or something but you’re so serious because you are concentrating on taking a picture of yourself. It’s hard and my arms are up in the air snapping a photo it makes my face look stupid. Anyways, please ignore this. I just wanted to give an example of the look I love. It isn’t perfect and my hair isn’t even brushed…

So, I love dark lips with minimal eye makeup. It takes no more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. I am going to tell you what products I used for this Iook. First, I applied Lancome Aqua Fusion Teinté Tinted Moisturizer in Shade 1. I applied Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer in Light Buff which I mix with a little of Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I love the slip that this provides. I covered a few spots with Maybelline Pure Concealer in Light. ( I love this product!) And I brushed my face with a huge kabuki brush covered with Lancome Dual Finish Powder Makeup in Matte Ecru. I brushed my brows with Lancome Modèle Sourcils in Châtaigne. I applied Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in ABC Gum which is a light peach all over the lid. I brushed and blended Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadow in Secret Service which is a matte warm brown. I coated lashes with Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume Blasting Mascara in Very Black. (This isn’t horrible mascara, I just don’t know if I’ll purchase again unless I get another awesome coupon that makes it almost free .) I took a large fluffy blush brush and applied Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in Golden Pink. I love Cover Girl Blush and the price is right. I don’t know if this is the best shade for me (others one make me look more alive), I feel it doesn’t photograph well but of course nothing does with a harsh flash on a digi camera. And nothing makes one look much paler than the flash of a digi cam. Finally, I applied Almay Ideal Lipliner in Wine and coated my lips with MAC Viva Glam III Lipstick. Finished in 7 minutes while my ginger tea was still brewing.

Here are some tips for the lips. If you worry about splotchiness with such a pigment packed matte, apply a lip base or concealer or foundation onto the lips to create a smooth canvas. I do this sometimes but then I find it may or may not mess with the vibrancy of the color. I always line my lips when using an intense shade. I like it harsh so I use a darker lip liner. Any liner will work, a nude is perfect for everything. Finally, A Q-Tip is your best friend. If you paint outside of the lines just go around with a Q-Tip to get the perfect pout. Blot if you must.

It’s that simple and you’ll always looked made up and fab.
