Yeah! It is bold and not pink! Don’t get me wrong, I like pink and it does make sense for spring but I am so tired of everybody doing that for this spring. At least Shiseido is giving me a rich lip on winter “kissed” skin. Winter usually offers all of the “holiday” red lip looks, but it is nice to see it carry over to spring. And somehow Dick Page has managed to make this red look look “springy”. It isn’t matte and it looks fresh with the dew drop blue lids.

EYES: They have relaunched the Hydro-Powder Eyeshadow in White Lights which is a sheer and shimmery white. If you have read the previous post on this product, then you know I love this formula. It is a cream to powder shadow that never budges or creases and has lots of shimmer. It retails for $24. There is also a relaunch of the Accentuating Creamy Eyeliner in Black. This product is easy to use and comes with its own little brush. It creates a classic cateye and goes for $26. Once again, I like this product but I like cheaper ones too. The model is getting her “blue” makeup look by lining with the cream liner and then layering over it with the White Lights Hydro-Powder Eyeshadow. It creates a nice water colored effect. And they’ve relaunched their Advanced Volume Mascara. I’ve never used it so I have no opinion.

LIPS: The Perfect Rouge Lipstick has been launched. It is supposed to be a comfortable, full color, moisturizing lipstick. It is pretty nice, but it does have a $25 price tag and I am finding drugstore lipsticks that I like better. It comes in many nice shades. I personally love Valentine (bright red) and Day Lily (bright orange) for spring and summer. There is the Smoothing Lip Pencil and it retails for $20. It is a nice long wearing lip pencil that you have to sharpen. I like the formula but once again I like some cheaper formulas too. It comes in many shades and Siren is a nice red. I love a red lip liner.

FACE: They have relaunched The Accentuating Color Stick in Champagne which is a nice pearly pink shimmer highlighter. I have this product and love it. It is smooth and finishes like a powder but doesn’t look dry. It looks great on the cheeks, down the nose, on the eyes, and even on the lips. It retails for $33.

I like the look. I’m not going to rush out to buy any of the products because I either have it or have stuff like it. But, I do like the look. It is a fresh red lip look without being too glossy. It’s a nice transition from winter to summer.

I love this stuff. It wears for a long time and it doesn’t crease! You can’t say that about every cream shadow on the market. This stuff comes in a cool glass pot and a little goes a long way. It is a creamy super shimmery formula that once applied to the lid turns more powdery and budge proof. It looks wonderful with powder shadows layered over and it makes a great shadow base. They do not make the lids feel oily. There are alot of colors to choose from. I have a few. I really like Goldlights which is a super shimmery Gold Finger worthy gold and my favorite. It looks great with my blue eyes and with a tan (which I don’t have). I like Aqua Shimmer which is a medium super shimmery aqua. It looks wonderful alone or used with a liner brush as a fun liner. I have Whitelights which is a silvery shimmery white. It makes a great eyeshadow base and it looks great alone with bold lipsticks. Violet Visions is another nice one that is a medium purple. This one makes a great liner too especially when worn with bright magenta lips. They retail for $23. Keep the lid on them tight so that they don’t dry out. So far all of mine are just as nice as the day I got them, no drying or anything. But, I am a weirdo about keeping them sealed!

shu eumara is offering us some bold colors and graphic floral packages to wake us up this holiday season. This winter isn’t about snowflakes but the anticipation of spring and bold blossoms. The collection is a project between shu and Mika Ninagawa, a Japanese photographer and director. The colors range from wake me up bolds to everyday neutrals. I love it. It is graphic, it is colorful and the packaging is pure artwork. I love the ad campaign. All of the models look flawless and I am all about these “fascinator” headwear things.

EYES: There are three limited edition eyeshadow eye color palettes. Each compact contains 10 wonderful mixable shades. Midnight Winter Sakura comes in a beautiful cherry blossom compact. The colors are a little more “winter-ish” than the others. They are rich and neutral. It comes with rich browns, taupes, mauves and a blue. There is Adorned Marguerite. The compact is plastered with 60’s flower power daisies. The colors in this compact are a bit bolder. The colors range from lime green to baby pink to acid yellow to cool purple. It is a very beautiful compact with lots of possibilities. Lastly, there is Secret Luscious Rose. The compact is covered with romantic red roses. The colors are dusty and range from mauve to gray to moss. It’s very lovely and make great “neutrals” that aren’t just brown. There is a Drawing Pencil Mini Trio Set. It contains three mini liners in a rich blue, warm burgundy-ish brown and rich black. They all come in a blue rose box. Two artistic set of lashes are available. There is the lovely pair, Mini Red, seen on the model above. And there is a Slant Purple pair which is just heavenly too.

LIPS: There are two adorable Unlimited Lip Gloss Mini Trio Sets that contain three min glosses and a super cute, graphic makeup bag. There is Seductive Gerbera which comes with a red gerbera bag. The glosses are beautiful and contain a nude gold, baby pink and a rich wine. The other set is Delicous Rose which comes in a tropical orange rose bag. The glosses are bold and vivid and contain a bright orange, bright fuschia and a vivid red. Three Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks in a peony pink and white case have been launched. The three colors include: Brown Beige, Orange Beige and Pink Beige. The last being my favorite.

OTHER STUFF: Two Nail Enamels are available in Tanzanite Aquarium. It is a color changing rich blue with silver glitter. The other is Garnet Aquarium which is a deep shimmering merlot. There is a portable brush set that comes in a beautiful red rose bag. And there is a makeup bag with rainbow colored chrysantheums.

I like it, I really like the eye color palettes the best. I may need one of them to help me make it through the gloomy winter that is ahead. Find out more about the collection on shuuemura-usa.com.

I wish I could write a bad review of this since it so expensive and I need to talk myself out of buying another one. (It retails for $80 for about 13 ounces of fluid, that is some expensive sake.) Fresh Rice Sake Bath comes in a beautiful but simple glass bottle. It detoxifies and renews the body and leaves the skin feeling lovely. It contains 50% sake, pine, ginger, daikon, spearmint, pomengrante and valerian. Sounds like one heck of a mixed sake drink. For years sake has been used to lighten sun spots (geishas used this) and pine has anti-bacterial properties. Whatever it does, I don’t really care. I like the way it feels.

Put it into a really hot bath and relax. The fragrance is a little too fruity for my taste but it isn’t sacharin. It smells of peaches, apricots and a dash of cassis. There is a hint of ginger. I like it. Anyways, you will really start sweating like you are in a sauna. It totally becomes a “detox” experience. I usually shower with a blast of icy cold water afterwards and then chill and relax with a glass of ice water with cucumber and lemon. Being in this foam bath actually raises your heart rate. It just feels good especially if you are feeling chill or ill. It is a nice product. I don’t know how long it should last but I felt my bottle didn’t last long. But, I do have a tendency to use too much. I’ve heard other people say this lasts forever. If I buy another bottle, trust me, I will make it last longer.

You can buy it at sephora.com or beauty.com.
