Who says we can’t be as beautiful as an animated super hero? She-Ra has a wonderful classic ass kicking look. To get her look apply a powder foundation such as Clinique Almost Powder Foundation. Apply concealer where needed. Brush brows into place with a gel such as Paula Dorf Brow Gel. It is clear and does the job. Apply a nude shadow to the entire eyelid. Use a nude like the lightest shade in NARS Duo Cream Eyeshadow Compact in Summertime. Apply with fingertips. Smear the darker shade from the duo from lashline to crease. Line eyes with a liquid liner such as Rimmel Liquid Liner in Black. Wing the liner out for a classic cat eye look. Apply lots of black mascara such as Clinique High Impact Mascara. Apply a creamy blush for a dewy look onto the apples of cheeks. I like Tarte Cheek Stain Cheek Color in Dollface which is a sheer and natural pink. Blend with fingertips. I know a lot of people don’t like this but I’m not a lot of people. I love red lipliner. It gives a very “graphic” and flawless look to the red lipstick look. Apply a red lipliner such as Elizabeth Arden Lipliner in True Red which is a true blue red. Apply a true red such as Sheisedo The Makeup Perfecting Lipstick in Real Red. Blot if needed and apply a sheer red lip gloss such as Lucy B. Fresh Juice Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in Hibiscus if you crave shine. For fragrance I am thinking of something a little ambery but fruity such as Boucheron Trouble.

Happy Halloween!

Since a child, I’ve been trying to be as stylish as Julie Newmar a.k.a. Cat Woman. I was in love with her “home” decor on the show, her nude lips, her big hair. What a glamour gal! No wonder I own so much leopard print and false lashes.

First apply concealer where needed, such as Lancome Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer and then apply a powder foundation such as Guerlain Parure Compact Foundation in your shade, Julie would so have something in this case. Brush brows into place (unlike Cat Woman’s which were always messy and pointed up strangely), use a tinted brow gel such as Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in your shade, for brows like Julie’s try Caramel. This look is all about a heavy handed eye. Apply foundation powder to eyelid to adsorb oil and make shadow stay on longer. Apply a nude shadow from lashline to brow. I would recommend the lightest shade in Guerlain Ombre Eclat Duo & Liner in L’Heure Fumee. Blend the darker shade from the duo from lashline to crease. Blend a little bit more of the lighter shade under the brow bone to “liven” up the look. Take the dark gel liner from the compact and line eyes “cat eye” style of course. This can be applied extra thick for glamor, just for glamor sake. Apply false lashes or tons of mascara to add emphasis to the eye area. Add Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in Blonde to the apples of cheeks. This stuff is lovely and is truly a complexion perfector. Apply a nude lip liner such as Guerlain Lip Pencil in Cupidon. Guerlain has the perfect lip color for this look. Apply the amazing Guerlain Kiss Kiss Stick Gloss in Vanilla Beige to lips. This color is so Angela Jolie too. Of course tease hair and spray with hair spray, shake it and let it look a bit messy. Apply fragrance, not to be cliche but I do recommend Cartier Panthere Eau Legere or By Dolce & Gabbana to complete this feline look.

And “Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything-Julie Newmar”

I’m a mega Wonder Woman fan: from comic books to the hokey TV show. Lynda Carter is one beautiful gal and she totally rocked the Wonder Woman look. It’s a really “fresh” late 70’s look. I’m sure you’re bound to get a little flushed when kicking so much ass. You know fighting for our rights, in your satin tights.

To get this wonderful look, apply a tinted moisturizer. I like Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Teint Tinted Moisturizer. Dab concealer where necessary, I like Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen for under eye circles. Dust a loose powder over face to keep shine under control. Fighting villains, now don’t look too glossy! I really like Guerlain Les Violettes Matte Touch Powder, yes souly for the scent. Wonder Woman’s brows are killer and stenciled. Fill in brows with a pencil such as Dior Powder Brow Pencil in Black, use a stencil if you must. I love harsh brows… Dust a nude eyeshadow from lashline to brows. Use something like Lancome Color Design Eye Shadow Single in Filigree which is a sheer shimmering warm nude. Now blend something like Lancome Color Design Eye Shadow Single in Ciel du Soir , a matte pebble gray, from lashline to crease. Line eyes with a liquid liner such as Lancome Art Liner in Noir, creating a “cat eye” effect. Apply false lashes and/or tons of black mascara. Dust cheeks with a sheer peachy blush such as NARS Powder Blush in Amour. It adds just enough flush. I love Wonder Woman’s flushed lips. Use the new Lipstick Queen Medieval Lipstick which adds a stained reddish flush to lips. So lovely! As far as scent goes, I have no idea what Wonder Woman would wear, I would think of something femme but fresh and perhaps unisex, something strong and full bodied. I was thinking of something like Guerlain Vol de Nuit. It’s really hard to decide, please comment, would she wear something leathery? Something vetivery? Anyways, at least I have her makeup down.
